Information on cancellations of Loudoun Soccer Recreational games will be announced on the cancellation line.  (Note that cancellations normally get posted on the cancellation line before the web site is updated.) Home team coaches are responsible for contacting the opposing coach to confirm the cancellation.

Coaches should not cancel games themselves on game day (even if both coaches agree.) Why? If the league has not cancelled games, the referees will not be aware of your cancellation and will show up for your game! In these cases teams should report as scheduled and a determination will be made at the field by the referee as to whether the game can be played.

If both coaches agree at least several days in advance to cancel/reschedule a game for reasons other than weather, it is very important that the home team’s area coordinator be notified so the referees can be canceled/rescheduled (for U7-U12 games).  Game change requests for U13-U19 games should be coordinated through the Loudoun Soccer SFL Manager.
